How this guide is built

Checked every day

Every night the system opens every listed website. A site that is parked, empty or not answering counts as a failure for that day. Recently closed businesses with an inactive site, a redundant site or a 404 are removed automatically after 3 consecutive daily failures. Every listing shows the date it was last checked.

Phone numbers

A phone number appears only when it is taken from a click-to-call link on the business's own website, or when the owner has entered it. Numbers are re-checked against the business's site each week, not guessed and not typed in by us.

Free to list, free to search

There is nothing to pay. No listing is ranked by anything other than being claimed and verified. There is no influence and there are no ads.

Claimed and verified businesses show first

When an owner claims a listing from an email address at the business, it moves to the front of search results and hub pages. The owner writes the description, sets the hours and adds a photo through a private link. The guide never holds a password.

Where the listings come from

Public open map data and state licence registers, verified against each business's own website. Where a licence register exists, the licence number is shown. Owners can add, fix or remove a listing from its page.

Does Coastworks build directories for clients?

No. Coastworks AI builds custom websites, email marketing and AI automations for small businesses where the owner still answers the phone: tradies, clinics, salons and solo professionals. Client systems come as element packs for Marketing, Accounts, Operations, Sales and Service, on a server the client owns, with a morning report, and nothing reaches a customer without the owner's approval. This guide is one live example of a daily automation Coastworks runs in public. It is not what Coastworks installs for clients.
